Centrifugal Transfer Pumps

Centrifugal Transfer Pumps - Environmental EquipmentCentrifugal transfer pumps are used to transfer fluid from one location to another through piping, or to move fluid through treatment equipment.  Water enters the pump at the center of the impeller where the rotation of the impeller accelerates the water outward into the pump casing and through the pump outlet.  The movement of the water outward creates lower pressure at the pump inlet, drawing more water in to continue the pumping cycle.

These pumps are very common in remediation systems, feeding water to different treatment processes.  Centrifugal pumps create enough pressure to be used with bag filters and carbon vessels, and are also used to feed coalescers and air strippers.

The stainless steel construction of centrifugal pumps makes them ideal for corrosive applications, and the pumps are available with explosion-proof motors for use in hazardous atmospheres.

When selecting a centrifugal transfer pump, the required flow rate and pressure are the most important factors, but the electrical classification of the motor should also be considered.

MLE Equipment uses centrifugal pumps manufactured by Goulds Pumps.  Please see the provided specification sheets and manuals for more detailed information on centrifugal transfer pumps.
