Oxygen Generators

Oxygen Generators - Environmental EquipmentOxygen generators are an integral part of gas production for oxygen-injection systems used for groundwater remediation.  Oxygen is produced by way of a process known as pressure-swing adsorption.  The oxygen generator is composed of two adsorption vessels and a series of automated valves.  Compressed ambient air is fed to the first adsorption vessel, where the nitrogen in the air is adsorbed under pressure, and the resulting pure oxygen is the by-product.  To desorb the nitrogen, the pressure is released and the vessel regenerates, ready for the next batch of ambient air.  For a continuous supply of oxygen, rather than a batch supply, a second adsorption vessel is added – while the first vessel is regenerating the second vessel is adsorbing.  The waste nitrogen is released to atmosphere while the pure oxygen is fed to a tank for storage and subsequent use in the oxygen-injection process.

When selecting an oxygen generator, the required volume of oxygen is the main consideration.

MLE Equipment uses AS-series oxygen generators, manufactured by AirSep Corporation.  Please see the provided specification sheets and manuals for more detailed information on oxygen generators.
