Ozone injection manifolds are used to divide a gas stream into any number of smaller streams, for distribution to ozone injection wells. A manifold consists of a main pipe for the incoming ozone supply, and branch legs for distribution. Since they usually control the process downstream, the branch legs can come equipped with a variety of equipment, including:
- valves for shutoff and flow control
- gauges for temperature and pressure
- sampling ports
- flow meters
Different materials of construction are available for manifolds, depending on the required pressure and temperature. Other considerations when designing a manifold are ozone flow rate, and the number of required branch legs.
