Vapor-Phase Specialty Media

Vapor-Phase Specialty Media - Environmental EquipmentVapor-phase specialty media are modified forms of activated carbon or other natural minerals used to filter contaminated air.  Sources for these media include alumina and silicate.  Specialty media work in much the same way as activated carbon, attracting the contaminants in the air through adsorption.  By adsorbing the contaminants, the level of contamination in the air stream is dramatically reduced.

Applications of specialty media range from the treatment of landfill gas to the removal of hydrogen sulfide.

The specific media chosen is dependent on various factors, the most important of which are the contaminant of concern and the level of contamination.

MLE Equipment uses vapor-phase specialty media from various suppliers.  Please see the provided specification sheets and manuals for more detailed information vapor-phase specialty media.
