Vapor/Liquid Separators

Vapor Liquid Separators - Environmental EquipmentVapor/liquid separators are vessels used for the separation of entrained groundwater from vapor streams extracted under vacuum.  The vessels are designed to take advantage of centrifugal forces as the vapor stream enters at a tangent to the cylinder.  The spinning of the incoming stream causes the entrained water to fall to the bottom of the vessel, while the vapor exits through the opening in the top.

Vessels are available with level switches to control pumping of the captured water, or if very little water is expected they can be drained manually.

The design of a vapor/liquid separator is dependent on the air flow rate, the expected water flow rate, and the vacuum applied by the extraction blower.

MLE Equipment manufactures vapor/liquid separators, allowing for customizable design.  Please see the provided specification sheets and manuals for more detailed information on vapor/liquid separators.
