Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) has long been the industry workhorse for water and air filtration. GAC can remove a wide range of organic components from air or water and is also extensively used for odor and color removal. MLEE is the Canadian distributor for California Carbon, supplying high quality GAC to the remediation, industrial and municipal markets.
Activated Clay has gained a solid reputation for its ability to treat water containing high levels of long chain hydrocarbons such as diesel and fuel oil. It is also particularly effective against a range of PAH's and PCB. Activated Clay (TM-100) is made by modifying high purity bentonite clay with quaternary amine, providing a unique and effective treatment technology.
Activated Alumina is an effective filtration media for use in the removal of a wide range of inorganic compounds. Through cooperation with Alcan, MLEE is able to provide Activated Alumina for removal of a range of metals and other ions from water streams. A specialty activated alumina has also been developed for arsenic removal.
