Solvent Recovery Systems

MLEE Solvent Recovery Technology

Given the demands currently placed on businesses by rigid environmental regulations, the ratification of the Kyoto Accord, and pressure from the public to ensure that businesses are operating a 'clean ship,' it is imperative to provide effective, cost efficient, and environmentally sustainable solutions for the environmental remediation industry.

Imagine a solution that is as effective as carbon adsorption at removing contaminants from an air stream, yet captures up to 97% of the air-stream vapors in the form of pure liquid-phase product; product that could be recycled or reused for its original purpose. This solution would not generate greenhouse gases, as do thermal and catalytic oxidation systems, nor does it require costly carbon replacement and disposal fees, as do typical carbon adsorption systems. All this can be achieved with a Maple Leaf Environmental Equipment Solvent Recovery System.

Aside from the obvious environmental benefits of removing the contaminants from the ground, the SRS provides additional benefits over other technologies. An alternate technology to remediate high concentrations of contaminants is a gas-fired catalytic oxidizer . The environmental benefits of the MLEE SRS far outweigh those of the oxidizer:

1. A typical oxidizer would normally have been capable of burning 95% of the contaminants while the remaining contaminants would have been released into the atmosphere. The SRS is capable of removing over 97% of all the contaminants from the air stream.

2. The incineration of hydrocarbons creates greenhouse gases, in addition to the gasses generated from burning the natural gas to operate the oxidizer.

3. The SRS can capture the contaminants as free liquid-phase product. This product can be recycled and reused further reducing the environmental impact of manufacturing new product.
